How to use OpenAI API key?

This feature allows users (Gold plan or higher) to integrate their personal OpenAI API key into NeuronWriter.
With your OpenAI API key in configuration, all functions using the OpenAI models will send requests with your own API key.
This also means you won't spend the AI credits included** in your plan**.

Where can I get OpenAI API key?

You can find your OpenAI API key at your OpenAI account: https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys
After accessing your account, generate your secret API key from the settings tab API keys.
Be sure to copy this key before you save it, as it will be required when linking your OpenAI account.

How can I add my OpenAI key to NeuronWriter?

You can add your personal OpenAI key by accessing My profile at https://app.neuronwriter.com/ucp/profile.
And navigate the AI writing setting tab. in My profile.

If I have the paid GPT Plus plan, does that include access to Open AI API credits?

Use of the API is separate from the Open AI service called Chat GPT Plus.
You have to pay for both separately, and API has limits that can be topped up to a specific amount if you want to use it.

Can users decide when to use their own OpenAI key credits for each use?

It works on the basis of a "switch to".
Once you set your Open AI API key, you switch to using the API credits by default, without consuming any credits from your plan.

What benefits does this feature offer?

Using your personal OpenAI API key for features that interact with OpenAI models will not use the AI credits in your plan, instead, it will use credits from your OpenAI API side.
This will enable you to use AI functions in NeuronWriter without plan's limitations and receive billing based on the usage of credits within the Open AI API rate.

What features can I use my OpenAI API credits for?

All features in NeuronWriter that require AI credits will now use your Open AI account's credits via an API key:
